This Privacy Policy explains how Sciport AI (“Sciport,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you join our waitlist, create an account, or use our services at sciport.ai. Sciport is in active development; this policy covers the product as it exists today and will be updated as we launch new features.

• Account information. When you sign in, we receive your name and email address from your chosen sign-in method (email/password or Google). Authentication is handled by Amazon Cognito; we never see or store your password.
• Waitlist information. If you join the waitlist, we collect your first name, email, commute length, and any interests you choose to share.
• Usage information. Basic technical data such as device, browser, and interactions with the site, used to operate and improve the service.

How we use your information

• To operate your account and provide the service.
• To send you product updates, onboarding, and service emails.
• To understand what people want to follow, so we can decide what to build first.
• To secure the service and prevent abuse.

How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Sciport, including Amazon Web Services (hosting, authentication, database, and email delivery) and Google (only if you choose to sign in with Google). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account or waitlist entry is active, or as needed to provide the service. You may ask us to delete your data at any time.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and a managed authentication service that hashes and never exposes your password. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@sciport.ai.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the site. We do not use advertising cookies.

Children

Sciport is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy as Sciport evolves. When we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
